PETROPERÚ presents today the first storybook on the occasion of the Bicentennial at the Lima Book Fair

Within the framework of the celebrations for its 50 years of institutional life, PETROPERU sponsors various activities at the Lima International Book Fair (FIL Lima 2019).

Especially noteworthy is the volume “21 relatos sobre la independencia del Perú”, compiled by the renowned writer José Donayre Hoefken –which is the first Peruvian publication to receive the Bicentennial Seal and has also opened the PETROPERU Bicentennial Collection–, which will be presented today at 7pm at the “Abraham Valdelomar” Auditorium of FIL Lima 2019. The commentators will be Marisa Bazán, Agustín Prado and the aforementioned José Donayre.

The work includes stories by Erika Almenara, Gabriela Caballero, Rosario Cardeña, Dante Castro, Juan José Cavero, Víctor Coral, Carlos Enrique Freyre, Harol Gastelú, José Güich, Fernando Iwasaki, Ángel Málaga, Alejandro Neyra, Pedro Novoa, Yelinna Pulliti, Raúl Quiroz, César Rosales-Miranda, Fabrizio Tealdo, María Luisa Torres, José Vadillo, Miguel Ángel Vallejo and Nataly Villena

Conference about the work of Luis Lumbreras

On the other hand, a conference was held yesterday on one of the emblematic works of Peruvian history: "On the Peoples and Cultures of Ancient Peru", by the famous archaeologist Luis Lumbreras; edition reissued and expanded by the author, which will be published by the PETROPERÚ publishing label in September of this year.

The conference was led by Carlos Roldán del Águila Chávez, General Director of Museums of the Ministry of Culture, who presented both the author and his work, highlighting that it is one of the few works that have deserved so many reissues, maintaining its validity over time and constituting a fundamental work on Peruvian archeology. Next, Dr. Lumbreras gave a wide exposition where he related aspects of his professional training and academic life, as well as some theoretical and methodological aspects of this new edition of "Of the Peoples and Cultures of Ancient Peru".

Simultaneously, the presentation of “En la Cresta de los Eucaliptos y los cuentos ganadores y mención honrosa del IV Concurso de Cuento Hubert Lanssiers 2018”, published by the Association of Human Dignity and Solidarity, sponsored by PETROPERU and with presentation by François Deville.
