PETROPERU presents photographic exhibit “Earth Mother IV. Geographies of climate change”

PETROPERU, continuing with its cycle of exhibits, presents tomorrow Thursday, November 3 at 7:30 PM its third and last exhibit of the year, “Earth Mother IV. Geographies of Climate Change”. The date is set at the PETROPERU Cultural Center, located at Av. Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro, Lima.

The exhibit seeks to raise awareness in society about global warming, which is leading to changes in the ecosystems that affect human life. At the core of this process is a way of life that men have adopted: consumer by excellence of resources, some renewable and some not.

Defects in the territories and their societies will not be uniform, because geographical variability is huge and the development conditions are different. In the case of our country, abundant rains and elevated temperatures will affect, in the the northern coast, the archaeological patrimony I will increase the risk of floods in an increase in metaxenic diseases.

The photographic exhibit provides a tool or both of the different dangers and of the geography where the natural disaster has been unleashed.

The exhibit will take place from November 3 to December 18 of 2016. Free admission. Curation is being done by the geographer Guadalupe Martínez.
