PETROPERU presents its modern Registry System of Qualified Suppliers

PETROPERÚ presented its modern Qualified Suppliers Registry System, through which it will be possible to obtain updated information from suppliers in a transparent, reliable and efficient manner.

The General Manager, Esteban Bertarelli Bustamante, was present at the meeting, as well as the Supply Chain Manager, Guillermo Bergelund Seminario, among other officials of the Company.

Bertarelli Bustamante, in the opening words, stressed that this new Database of Qualified Suppliers will allow to encourage long-term relationships with a reliable shopping chain. All this, he said, because PETROPERÚ is committed to transparency in its processes.

It should be noted that this modern database will allow suppliers to enter a registration process, after which they will fill out a questionnaire with general and commercial information of their companies and, subsequently, they will access a database, where buyers will have the information in a framework of total transparency.

The Supplier Registry System has benefits for both PETROPERU users and current and future suppliers. It will allow the reduction of the time in the selection of suppliers, as well as in the contracting procedures by having updated information. There will also be relevant information to have deeper knowledge of suppliers, and corporate responsibility will be encouraged.

The information will be validated by Achilles Peru, a neutral third party in the registration procedure. Achilles Peru is a company with more than 25 years of experience in creating and maintaining communities of buyers and suppliers in industrial sectors.

The representatives of Achilles, in turn, highlighted this new alliance with the first company in the country. "We will raise standards in the selection and management of suppliers, reducing time and effort to prequalify potential buyers," he added.
