PETROPERU presents for the first time unique fossil exhibit

Starting this Thursday, August 25, visitors of the PETROPERU Cultural Center will be able to enjoy the new temporary exhibit “FOSSIL. A look at Peru 200 million years ago”, which transports us to ancient times of the lives on Earth, in a fantastic tour through fossils of all geologic eras.

The presentation will cover the different types of paleontological research, the fossilization process and historical aspects of paleontological research. The exhibit also includes an impacting audiovisual immersion, through a video projection that shows the process of collecting vertebrates, and which takes us millions of years into the past in order to find out how our ecosystem was formed.

It can be mentioned that the organisms that live in the seas that are now part of the Peruvian territory, where once invertebrates who lived between 200 and 66 millions of years ago, and are found preserved in the sedimentary rock that our country has an abundance of.

This is the second exhibit that our company hosts this year, and in this location, it is shared with the Geological, Mining and Metallurgy Institute INGEMMET.

The exhibit, which is being curated by the geologist Aldo Alván, will remain open to the public until October 16 in the PETROPERÚ Sala de Arte, at Av. Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro. FREE ADMISSION
