PETROPERÚ present at the Ayacucho International Book Fair

PETROPERÚ will participate in the V Ayacucho International Book Fair, which takes place in the Main Square of Huamanga, offering a varied list of activities.

Wednesday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. the book “21. Relatos sobre mujeres que lucharon por la independencia del Perú” (21. Stories about women who fought for the independence of Peru), where two of the writers of the book, Marissa Bazán and Sophie Canal, will participate, together with José Donayre Hoefken, responsible for the selection and prologue of the book.

Friday, October 1 at 5:00 p.m. the book "The Finger on the Trigger and the Honorable Mention and Finalist stories of the XXI Short Story Biennial 2020 Copé Award" will be presented. Miguel Ruiz Effio, 2020 Copé Story Award, Rocío Quispe - Agnoli, professor of Spanish-American colonial studies, in the Department of Romance and Classical Studies at Michigan State University, and Carlos Schwalb Tola, writer, researcher and 1996 Copé Story Award will take part in this event.

Finally, on October 7 at 5:00 p.m. the 2020 Copé Award winning essay, “De curaca a congresista. Vigencia de una familia indígena en la política nacional” (From curaca to congressman. Validity of an indigenous family in national politics), by historian and teacher David Quichua Chaico, who will be accompanied by researchers from the San Cristóbal de Huamanga University.

All activities will be held online through the channels of the fair and the PETROPERÚ Cultural Center. Thus, PETROPERÚ continues its work of cultural promotion in a decentralized manner in favor of the dissemination of our history, literary creation and research at the national level.
