PETROPERU present at “Hay Festival Arequipa”

Details are being finalized for the next edition of “Hay Festival Arequipa”, which brings together the best of letters, arts, culture, journalism and cinema. This year, PETROPERU will be one of its main sponsors.

The manager of Social Management and Communications of the state oil company, Beatriz Alva Hart, highlighted the initiative of this event, to be held in the White City from November 7 to 10. “These spaces, where exchanges of experiences prevail between young writers and those with experience, are very enriching, because they motivate other people to continue creating. Along these lines, PETROPERU has authors who have been awarded the Copé Award,” said the official during the launch of the festival, held at the headquarters of the British embassy.

And it is that the renowned writer Stuart Flores and the philosopher and essayist Ciro Alegría Varona, both winners of the Copé Awards, have confirmed their participation and will present the works that led them to obtain the highest award that PETROPERU awards annually to national writers, with the objective of recognizing his literary creations in different categories.

It is noteworthy that in this 2019, the “Hay Festival Arequipa” - which is now serving five uninterrupted editions - will be attended by the Nobel Prize for Literature, Orhan Pamuk, as a guest of honor, while the Spanish journalist and writer Almudena Grandes, as well as Peruvian poet Giovanna Pollarolo are also part of the long list of guests who will be present at the event.
