Petroperú prepares residents of Villa El Salvador against the possibility of disasters

With the objective of raising awareness among the population about the existing risks of fires, earthquakes or tsunamis, Petroperú and the B-105 Fire Company of the Villa El Salvador district, carried out two preparatory training sessions for more than 300 residents of the Beach Zone, adjacent to the Conchán Refinery, prior to participating in the fire drill, carried out at the A.H. Heroes of Cenepa.

In the two workshops, the firefighters provided tools to confront - in a timely manner - these types of situations, training the population through practical cases, taking into account the geographical situation of the area, which is characterized by unstable, sandy and humid.

Subsequently, a drill was carried out on the esplanade of said settlement, with the participation of the population. At the site it was possible to see - in real time - the actions carried out by the residents in the face of this type of emergency; which included role assignment, location of emergency exits and identification of evacuation zones, as well as tools, such as fire extinguishers and medical kits.

During the development of the drill, the district's Civil Defense officials participated, the same ones who carried out the respective evaluations to see the level of response and organization of the residents in the event of an emergency.

With this type of actions and as part of its social responsibility, Petroperú seeks to generate and promote a preventive culture, in order to mitigate and preserve the integrity of people during the possibility of a natural disaster occurring.
