PETROPERU preemptively sends bottled water to communities of Andoas

PETROPERU pre-emptively transferred 1,454 boxes of bottled drinking water (20 liters each) to the communities of the Andoas district, Datem del Marañón province, Loreto region.

This is the first of several water shipments that the Company will temporarily provide to these communities, addressing the concern of the residents for the presence of oily spots on the Pastaza River detected on May 25 and whose origin is under investigation.

The water supply will continue until the results of the evaluation of the quality of water sources for human consumption by the General Directorate of Environmental Health (DIGESA), on June 18, concludes.

As can be remembered, PETROPERU has been providing integral logistical support to a commission of the National Rural Sanitation Program (PNSR) and DIGESA, which departed today for Andoas to carry out the technical evaluation of the water quality provided by the Drinking Water Treatment Plants (PTAP). The results will be available on June 18.

On the other hand, as part of its Social Responsibility actions, PETROPERU will hold free health days with medical specialists and delivery of medicines to the medical posts of the district. It will also provide educational packages to schools in the area.

As previously reported, the company Kanay Seché Group continues to clean the palisades where waste was found. It should be noted that no new oil spots have been identified in the Pastaza River.

PETROPERU will continue to report the results of the activities it carries out in the area.
