PETROPERÚ places a clamp to contain oil leak after attack on the North Peruvian Pipeline

PETROPERÚ placed a metal clamp to guarantee the containment of the oil leak at kilometer 373.2 of the North Peruvian Pipeline - ONP, where on December 31, 2021 an intentional cut by unscrupulous people was detected, attacking the infrastructure of this asset national critic, the environment and the native communities of our Amazon.

The placement of this containment instrument was carried out last night after dialoguing with the inhabitants of the area, achieving an adequate understanding for the benefit of the communities and the environment. PETROPERÚ will immediately carry out the remediation works in the impacted area, in accordance with its contingency plans.

As part of the investigations to determine those responsible for this attack against the ONP, the Prosecutor's Office has carried out an inspection visit. Likewise, it is important to point out that PETROPERÚ has duly informed the supervisory authorities about the findings in the field and has made the police report for the investigations of the case.
