PETROPERÚ placed the first stone of the New Supply Plant Ninacaca, in Pasco

In the midst of great expectations, a ceremony was held to lay the first stone of the New Ninacaca Supply Plant in the Pasco Region, which will satisfactorily meet the current and projected demand for liquid fuels, mainly destined for the central region of the country.

The PETROPERU Supply Chain Corporate Manager, Mr. Guillermo Bergelund Seminario and the Regional Vice Governor of Pasco, Econ. Rubén Tejada Ramos, participated in the event, among other high authorities of the region, officials of PETROPERU and of the consortium OBS-IMECON, contractor in charge of the work.

The high official of the state oil company stressed that this work marks the beginning of a new stage for the development of the Pasco region. "With this investment, we are committed to providing decisive support for the progress and development of the central zone of the country, including Junín and Huánuco." He stressed that during construction, the water from the lagoons and rivers of the place will NOT be used, but that the tanker trucks will be hired from external sources. On the other hand, he announced that priority will be given to the hiring of qualified local labor and does not qualify through the Ministry of Labor.

For their part, the representatives of the OBS-IMECON consortium agreed to highlight the start of the work, emphasizing that it will promote local development to maximize the city's economy. In addition, the event was attended by representatives of the mayor of the district of Ninacaca, the Regional Directorate of Hydrocarbons and educational institutions of the place, whose students members of his band captivated the audience.

The new Ninacaca Supply Plant will be located one kilometer away from the district of the same name, at 4,140 m.s. It will have a storage capacity of 7,500 barrels of three fuels: diesel B5 (2 thousand barrels), gasoline of 90 octane (1,500 barrels) and 84 octane (500 barrels); in addition to 6,104 barrels of water in its fire system, which includes motor pumps, tanks, pipe networks, sprinklers, monitors, hydrants, detectors, fire extinguishers, as well as water and foam systems.

In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to the progress and development of Ninacaca and the Pasco region.
