PETROPERU participates in Medical Campaign against Anemia in Pasco

PETROPERU participated in the Medical Campaign against Anemia in the Ninacaca district in coordination with the Regional Health Directorate (DIRESA) – Pasco and the Ninacaca District Municipality.

The activity, carried out in the Municipal Palace of the Ninacaca district, was attended by the mayor, Cesar Samuel López Huere, local authorities and a large number of residents.

During the event there was a talk about the prevention of anemia in children, by the nutritionist Gleny Ramos Marchand, which was addressed to the entire community; especially to pregnant mothers and children in the area.

This nutritional talk was coordinated by PETROPERU with the support of the contractor OBS - IMECON, in charge of the construction of the new Ninacaca Supply Plant.

Likewise, a demonstration of dishes with a high iron content was carried out, using inputs from the area. In this way, the inhabitants tasted dishes such as the anticrops of bofe with blood, beans and rice; as well as a carrot, strawberry, parsley and spinach juice.

In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to contribute to the fight against anemia and health promotion in neighboring communities to its operations as part of its Social Management Policy.
