PETROPERU participates at FIL Lima 2018

The publications of Copé Editions of PETROPERU, will be present at the 23rd International Book Fair of Lima (FIL LIMA) 2018, which will be held from July 20 to August 5 at the Los Próceres de la Independencia Park (block 17 of the Avenida Salaverry, Jesús María), thus promoting culture and education in the country.

PETROPERU sponsors this important cultural event and will also have a stand where the various Ediciones Copé books will be offered. Also, the presentations of the books "Amazonas: Millennial Route III. A place called Amazonia" by the compiler Aldo Bolaños Baldassari, and the third edition of the Great Inca Route El Capaq Ñan by Ricardo Espinosa.

Also, the winning works of the Copé Oro Prize 2017 will be presented: the novel "El laberinto de los endriagos", by Hugo Yuen; and the poems: "Colección privada o los colores ocultos de la turbación", by Marco Antonio Quijano. Also, "La noche y su sombra" by Ernesto Zumarán, Copé Plata Award; "Bajo la mancha azul del cielo" by Alejandro Susti, Copé Bronce Award; and "Antología de poemas de las Menciones Honrosas y Finalistas de la XVIII Bienal de Poesía".

José Carlos Alvariño, president of the Peruvian Chamber of Books, highlighted and thanked today, at the launch of FIL LIMA 2018, the important support provided by the various institutions and companies, such as PETROPERU, to make it possible for the fair to open its doors to public every year.

The Spanish Ambassador to Peru, Ernesto de Zulueta Habsburgo-Lorraine, participated in the opening ceremony of the fair; the Vice Minister of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Industries, Luis Felipe Villacorta Ostolaza; the president of the Peruvian Book Chamber, José Carlos Alvariño; and the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Jesús María, Ernesto Delhonte Cagna; among other representatives.

About FIL LIMA

This fair, considered one of the four most important in Latin America, will last 17 days and will have more than 80 international guests and 140 Peruvian authors. There will also be conferences, book presentations, professional conferences, meetings with authors and music concerts.

This year the guest country of honor will be Spain. This will also include the presence of renowned writers from other countries, such as the United States, Mexico, Italy, Chile, Colombia and Argentina.
