PETROPERU participated in the V National Encounter for Early Childhood

The PETROPERU auditorium hosted the V National Meeting for Early Childhood organized by the Citizen Initiative for Investment in Children, which was held on September 5 and 6.

The event, which sought to establish an open, direct and frank dialogue between civil society and the State on the current situation of children, was attended by the Vice President of the Republic, Mercedes Aráoz; the Ministers of Women and Vulnerable Populations, Gloria Montenegro; of Education, Flor Pablo; of Development and Social Inclusion, Paola Bustamante, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PETROPERU, Carlos Paredes. In addition, the Unicef representative in Peru, Ana de Mendoza and the priest Gastón Garatea, member of the event's organizing group.

The activity had as a priority the situation of children, addressing issues such as malnutrition and childhood anemia, quality education for early childhood, rapid and effective response against violence affecting children and management of programs and budgets to address to childhood

The Corporate Manager Social Management and Communications of PETROPERU, Beatriz Alva Hart, highlighted the presence of the Oil Company in social projects for children that are developed in the communities near our operations.

In addition, at the event, attendees were able to visit the fair of successful experiences of projects for children by various public and private companies, where PETROPERU presented its main contributions for the benefit of children.

This meeting is held within the framework of the implementation of the Social Pact for Children and Children, which requires governance that guarantees the full development of children.
