PETROPERU participated in forum on social conflicts in the country
PETROPERÚ participated in the "II Forum of Public-Private Collaboration: Extractive Industries and Social Development - How to prevent social conflicts?", organized by the Invert Institute and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, held at the Business Club of San Isidro.
The event was attended by the Corporate Manager of Social Management and Communications, Beatriz Alva Hart, who commented on the actions of the Social Management Plan in the Norperuano Pipeline, highlighting the Plan of Road Clearing and Early Warning System as source of sustainable local employment and strengthening of relationships with communities.
The forum, which was attended by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Francisco Ísmodes, aims to analyze the problem of social conflicts in our country, which was chosen as a key issue of public policy.
In this regard, the minister said that work must be done to close gaps between the wealth of the subsoil and that which reaches the neighboring populations. Likewise, attend the information spaces on the correct actions of the extractive companies and, in this way, prevent conflicts.
The event was also attended by prominent professionals from the public and private sectors such as the president of the Peruvian Society of Hydrocarbons, Felipe Cantuarias, the president of the Invertir Institute, Daniel Córdova, the Mining Manager of the National Mining, Oil and Gas Company. Energy, Enrique Ferrand, among other personalities of the sector.
In this way, PETROPERU - in the framework of its Social Management Policy - participates in spaces for dialogue as part of its institutional relationship, communicating the actions carried out in its areas of influence, emphasizing the fulfillment of commitments acquired with its different groups of interest.
