PETROPERU participated in Expo Amazónica

PETROPERU had an outstanding participation in the IX Expo Amazónica Loreto 2019 held in the city of Iquitos between August 15 and 18. With its motto “Forever Boosting the Amazon”, the state oil company was a sponsor of this important event that seeks to promote the productive potential of the Amazon region.

In this edition, the Company presented “Independiente”, a social initiative that seeks to strengthen the capacities of the Amazonian woman through the preparation of products based on chambira fiber which were for sale at the PETROPERU stand.

Likewise, visitors to the stand had access to information regarding the construction of the new Talara Refinery, the modernization of the North Peruvian Pipeline, social management activities and their contribution to the progress of Iquitos and the entire Amazon.

The ninth edition of this important event had a record in sales in the four days of the event, where numerous entities were present with their best productive, tourist, industrial, gastronomic and artistic offers; also participating with leading exponents in forums, technology wheels and business conferences.

The Amazon Expo is an annual activity that was born in the Amazon Interregional Council, made up of the regional governments of Loreto, Madre de Dios, San Martín, Ucayali, Huánuco and Amazonas.

At the closing ceremony it was announced that the organization of the IX Edition will be in charge of the Amazon Region, which will assume the challenge of continuing to stimulate the growth of this exhibition that seeks to promote the development of the Amazon under the tourist, productive and commercial.
