PETROPERU participated in closing of the 2019 Quality Schools program in Sechura and Olmos

PETROPERU successfully completed the closing of the first year of the “2019 Quality Schools” program that takes place in Bayóvar –in Sechura, Piura– and in Olmos –Lambayeque–, areas of influence of the North Peruvian Pipeline.

At the ceremony, certificates of participation were given to teachers from various educational institutions in order to provide teachers with teaching techniques that benefit primary school students by strengthening their knowledge in mathematics and communication.

In the district of Olmos, 18 teachers from the educational institutions (IE) located in the hamlets Pasaje Norte, Sequión, San Pablo de Escurre, Racalí, El Cardo, San Cristóbal Chico and San Cristóbal Grande obtained their certificate. In the area of Sechura, 9 IE teachers from the Puerto Rico and Playa Blanca coves were recognized.

This program is developed in partnership with the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) and is accompanied by the Local Education Management Unit (UGEL) of Sechura and Lambayeque.

The “Quality Schools” program will last three years and includes the evaluation and training of teachers; which will allow them to be certified in the UPCH at the end of the program.

In this way, PETROPERU continues its commitment to the education of children located in the towns near its operations, developing skills and strengthening their capabilities. This activity is part of the Social Management Plan of the Company.
