PETROPERU participated in “Earth Hour”

Within its Social Management actions, which seek to raise awareness of environmental care and protection, PETROPERU participated in Earth Hour, the most important event in the world against the effects of climate change, held on Saturday, March 30.

This symbolic event consists of turning off all electric lights for one hour (between 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm), to demonstrate that each person can have a positive impact in the fight against climate change and make a commitment to the environment around the world, such as the protection of forests, the use of water and marine areas, among other factors related to the environment.

In that sense, the state oil company turned off the lights of its institutional headquarters located on the corner of Paseo de la República with Canaval Moreyra in the district of San Isidro, Lima. A similar exercise was carried out in the other facilities of the Company, such as Talara and Iquitos, as well as in other branches across the country.

This way, PETROPERU highlights its firm commitment to sensitize and train our different stakeholders on the importance of protecting the environment, as well as on the impacts that our activities can generate.
