The province of Ilo celebrated the 49th anniversary of its political creation and PETROPERU was present during the various cultural days that took place in that city, which included the presentation of the third edition of "The Great Inca Route, the Qhapaq Ñan", with the participation of its author, Ricardo Espinosa; the screening of two films - outdoors - with totally free entrance and a serenade in tribute to the port, where the Criollo singer Bartola delighted more than eight thousand attendees.

The intense day, lived throughout the week, was highlighted by the mayor of Ilo, Gerardo Carpio Díaz, who acknowledged the participation of the state oil company; thanking for the permanent support that, he said, is sustained year after year. In that sense, he recalled that PETROPERU complied with the roof of the Mercedes Cabello school in Carbonera; the asphalting of one of the main roads of the city and the provision of books to the libraries of the schools in the area.

In turn, officials of the Company announced that they will continue to collaborate with everything related to social management, the development of art and to strengthen the cultural days in Ilo.

This way, the state oil company closes its participation in this jubilee week, reiterating that culture is a priority of equal importance to any of its strategic activities, in all its operations.
