PETROPERU opens submissions for the «2017 Copé Award»
- XVIII Poetry Biennial and VI Novel Biennial.
- Winner of the Poetry Copé Oro will receive prize of 35 thousand Soles, while the winner for Novel will receive 45 thousand soles.
- Final date to submit works: August 11 of 2017.
PETROPERU once again reaffirms its commitment with the culture and the letters by opening submissions to the XVIII Poetry Biennial and VI Novel Biennial “2017 Copé Award”, in which all Peruvians residing in the country and abroad may participate, as well as foreigners nationalized or residing in Peru.
The submissions will be received in the Main Office of PETROPERU (Av. Enrique Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro) and in all the operations and sales plant at a national level. In the case of authors living abroad, they may turn in their submissions in the diplomatic representations of Peru in their country of residence.
The final day for turning in submissions is Friday, August 11 of 2017. For submissions sent through messaging services, these will be accepted on a later date as long as the seal of reception by the postal company indicates August 11.
- Participants will enter under a pseudonym.
- The work must be unpublished.
- The presentation is in a printed version, five copies and with electronic support, burned on a compact disc (CD), with the file using the Word format.
- Each printed copy must have a title page in which the name of the work and the pseudonym of the participant appears.
- The five copies must be accompanied by a single letter- or similar-sized envelope, sealed, that in the outside indicates the name of the story or essay presented, as well as the pseudonym, while on the inside contains a page with the biodata of the author.
The XVIII Poetry Biennial will award the first place with 35 thousand soles, the second place with 25 thousand and the third place with 15 thousand soles, as well as with the Copé Trophy for each one in the publishing of the winning works, along with the selected anthology of finalist poems, done by the Ediciones Copé imprint.
The winner of the VI Novel Biennial will receive 45 thousand soles and the Copé Oro trophy, as well as the publishing of his work under the Ediciones Copé imprint of PETROPERU.
Since its first call for submissions in 1979, the Copé Award has been the expression of the corporate responsibility of PETROPERU as part of its commitment to the development of the culture and literary creation in Peru. This event is, without a doubt, the most renowned and constant in our country, for the promotion of new writers and the recognition of the experienced ones, as well as for the quality that the works reach..
