PETROPERU opens Fire Prevention Week
PETROPERU, committed to good safety practices, inaugurated the Fire Prevention Week, organized by the Occupational Health and Safety Sub-Management. The ceremony was attended by Esteban Bertarelli Bustamante, General Manager of the state oil company, as well as by senior officials and numerous workers of the Company.
For Bertarelli Bustamante, this session seeks to raise awareness, among all the staff, about the prevention work before any eventuality. "We should not expect that regretful incidents will occur, as we have procedures and trained personnel to avoid contingencies," he said. In this regard, "this activity is aimed at maintaining high standards of Health and Safety at Work," the official concluded.
As part of the activities of the Fire Prevention Week, safety awareness talks, fire prevention practices, simulations, rescue exercises in emergency situations, and others are scheduled.
PETROPERU is the first company in the hydrocarbons sector in the country to be certified in the Corporate Management System (SIG-C), which includes the international standards ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 18001: 2007, which systematizes the management of quality, environment and health and safety at work.
