Renowned Peruvian painters show their art in landmark publication
PETROPERU opened exhibit on the renowned Cope magazine

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of PETROPERU, Carlos Paredes Lanatta, opened his exhibition “Revista Copé. Entre lo popular y lo académico 1970-2002”, which was held in the Art Hall of PETROPERU and was attended by artists and the general public.

In the ceremony, Paredes Lanatta, highlighted the support to culture as one of the most important factors for Peru to achieve full and sustainable development, being the mission of PETROPERU to be an actor in the cultural life of the country.

The exhibition seeks to highlight the permanent presence of the state oil company in various fields of interest, especially culture, through its Copé Magazine, a publication that for three decades was a reference in terms of analysis and research.

It should be noted that the Copé Magazine had its peak in the 70s, in which the most representative works of the painters Camilo Blas, Sérvulo Gutiérrez or Sabino Springett adorned the covers, which today have become true pieces of collection for the connoisseurs

The presentation is part of the cultural activities in commemoration of the 50 years of institutional life of PETROPERU and the 40 years of the Copé Award.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The public can visit the exhibition until December 6 in the Art Hall of PETROPERU, located at Av. Enrique Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro, Lima, Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. FREE ADMISSION.
