PETROPERÚ offers the most competitive fuels on the market
PETROPERÚ clarifies that the comparison of prices carried out by the Peruvian Consumers and Users Organization (Opecu), and that has been published by the newspaper Gestión in its edition of Wednesday 17 of the current month, contains information that does not correspond to the price lists published by Repsol and PETROPERÚ, as can be verified by visiting the web pages of both companies.
In that sense, it is not true that PETROPERÚ's prices are the highest in the market, as reported by the Gestión newspaper. Although the vast majority of our sales have been temporarily supplied by imports, due to the works in our main refinery since January 2020, PETROPERÚ maintains the most competitive fuel prices in the market.
According to the price list published on the PETROPERÚ website, the Diesel B5 S-50 Vehicle Use shows a drop from 11.95 Soles/Gallon to 10.36 Soles/Gallon, that is, it fell 1.59 Soles/Gallon. The list prices of gasoline/diesel have not changed since last October 21.
It is important to remember that fuel prices are determined based on market supply and demand, in compliance with the provisions of the Organic Hydrocarbons Law. Likewise, it is important to specify that in compliance with the provisions of the S.D. No. 025-2021-EM, PETROPERÚ reduced the list price of Diesel for Vehicle Use in Lima/Callao to equal it to the Upper Limit of the Stabilization Fund Price Band from November 16, 2021.
PETROPERÚ reaffirms its commitment to maintain transparency and efficiency in determining the prices of fuels that it commercializes at the national level in strict compliance with Peruvian legislation.
