PETROPERÚ obtained profits at the close of december 2021

At the end of December 2021, Petróleos del Perú - PETROPERÚ S.A., obtained a profit of 106.3 million dollars, as opposed to the losses registered as of December 2020 of 67.3 million dollars. One of the factors that has contributed to these results is the optimization of the company's expense budget, which had a significant reduction of about 600 million soles, as well as the increase in its participation in the fuel market with higher sales.

In the same line of recovery of the company, to date, PETROPERÚ has managed to reach optimum and desired production levels of the order of 490 BOPD (barrels of oil per day, for its acronym in English) and 2.8 MMCFD (million cubic feet). cubic per day) of natural gas, 50 days after assuming the operation of Lot I, in a historic milestone after 25 years. This Lot is located between the La Brea and Pariñas districts in the province of Talara.

Likewise, the New Talara Refinery will begin its gradual start-up next April, with the start-up of the process units of this refining complex, which will contribute not only to having cleaner and more environmentally friendly fuels, but also to continuing to offer prices more competitive.

During the last few months, PETROPERÚ has been offering the most competitive fuel prices at its sales plants nationwide, thanks to the optimizations it has made in hydrocarbon acquisitions, which has also allowed it to increase its participation in the fuel market. fuels of the country, which was found in decline in the month of September 2021 by the current administration. To date, PETROPERÚ has a 56% share in gasoline and 40% in diesel.
