Petroperú obtained audited financial statements for the year 2021 with a favorable opinion

As announced, the auditing company Gaveglio Aparicio y Asociados SCRL – PwC today, Friday, September 9, delivered the short report of the external audit carried out on the 2021 financial statements of Petroperú S.A.

The Auditing Company considered that “the aforementioned financial statements present fairly, in all their significant aspects, the financial situation of Petróleos del Perú – Petroperú S.A. as of December 31, 2021 and 2020, its financial performance and its cash flows for the years ended on those dates, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards issued by the International Accounting Standards Board”.

In the following weeks, the procedures for the approval of the Audited Financial Statements and the Annual Report for the 2021 financial year will be carried out before the Board of Directors and the General Shareholders' Meeting, fulfilling the deadline for presentation to the bondholders, syndicated banks, to the Spanish Agency Export Credit (CESCE) and the Superintendence of the Securities Market (SMV) as of September 30, 2022.

The presentation of the audited Financial Statements contributes to the recovery of the confidence of its stakeholders (creditors, bondholders, clients, banks, risk rating agencies, among others), which will allow Petroperú S.A. to continue stabilizing its liquidity effectively. In this line, the company ratifies the fulfillment of the commitments assumed with the bondholders and the CESCE.

In this way, the Board of Directors and the Administration of Petroperú S.A. they continue to carry out the necessary actions to promote its strengthening, in order to ensure its sustainability and continue fulfilling its strategic role of guaranteeing fuel supply throughout the country.
