PETROPERÚ met with entrepreneurs who demand pending payments from subcontractors of Técnicas Reunidas
PETROPERU met with the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Talara, in order to discuss the problems that would face a group of entrepreneurs who provided services to the subcontractors of the company Técnicas Reunidas, main contractor of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT).
At the meeting, the representatives of the state company reported that they are articulating efforts to ensure that pending payments are made to suppliers. In this regard, they indicated that they have met with the representatives of Técnicas Reunidas and in the next few days will do the same with the subcontractors of the Spanish company.
They pointed out that PETROPERU does not have debt with Técnicas Reunidas and this in turn has informed that it has complied with making the corresponding payments to its main subcontractors. However, they pointed out that information is being collected to reach companies that would not have complied with making payment to their suppliers.
In this sense, it was recommended to the aggrieved companies to formulate their claims before the Judicial Power so that through this legal conduit the non-compliance is evidenced and the corresponding payment is demanded. On this point, PETROPERU committed to provide support with the free legal advisory service to expedite the pending payments.
Likewise, PETROPERU has expressed its interest to continue dialoguing with the affected companies. In that sense, they agreed to hold a next meeting of coordination of actions, next Wednesday, August 8.
