PETROPERU makes details on the implementation of the Talara Modular Hospital

Following the information released in a media outlet, PETROPERU addresses the public opinion to make the following clarifications about the construction of the Talara Modular Hospital:

  1. PETROPERU has been complying with making the corresponding payments for the construction of the Talara Modular Hospital, in accordance with the provisions of the contract signed with the SATEC-IRPM LATAM SAC Consortium, for an equivalent to 70% of the total cost of the contracted work.
  2. The SATEC-IRPM LATAM SAC Consortium delivered the work 47 days late, which have been penalized, according to the terms established in the contract and which were promptly communicated to their legal representatives.
  3. The SATEC-IRPM LATAM SAC Consortium delivered the incomplete work, a situation that was later corrected by ESSALUD, in coordination with PETROPERU, guaranteeing the operability of the Talara Modular Hospital, thus fulfilling the commitment with the population of Talara, providing our support in the care of patients with COVID-19.
  4. Currently, we are in the liquidation process, which, although it has already been notified to the legal representatives of the Consortium, has not been completed, due to the disagreements that exist between its partners. In the event that these partner disputes persist, PETROPERU will request the initiation of an arbitration process.
  5. In this sense, we categorically reject that any breach or damage is attributed to the consortium, when the SATEC-IRPM LATAM SAC Consortium has pending to determine the acceptance of the aforementioned contract settlement, which due to its corporate discrepancies does not have a definition regarding which, we reiterate, PETROPERÚ is totally alien.
  6. PETROPERU, as part of its social commitment, has been contributing responsibly in the fight against COVID-19, executing social actions that allow it to face this disease in the sphere of influence of its operations, always acting with transparency, online to its policies and current legislation. To date, the Talara Modular Hospital, donated by PETROPERU, has provided care to more than 3,500 patients in the oil province.
