Thanks to the spirit of solidarity of its workers and the owners of the service stations that are part of its network of taps nationwide, PETROPERU made an important donation in favor of children and young people who carry out their physical rehabilitation in the six San Juan de Dios clinics that exist in the country.

During his participation in the virtual event Juntos por la Teletón, broadcast live through the fanpage of the state company, the General Manager of PETROPERU, Carlos Barrientos Gonzales, announced the contributions of the PETROPERU Service Station Network that to date has managed to raise more than 20,000.00 Soles.

Likewise, he reported that, thanks to the spirit of solidarity of the PETROPERU workers, 24,210.00 soles have been collected, which will also be used for the treatment of the more than two thousand children and young people who continue their physical rehabilitation in the clinics of San Juan de Dios.

“I invite all Peruvians to join this noble cause, making their voluntary contributions through the different channels that have been opened for this purpose. All Peruvians united in one heart, we can do more”, added Barrientos Gonzales, who highlighted and thanked the solidarity of PETROPERU workers and the owners of the service stations that continue to join this initiative, in a difficult year due to the pandemic.

For her part, Claudia Uriarte Cárdenas, Social Director of the Telethon, thanked PETROPERU for its constant commitment to the thousand children and young people who carry out their rehabilitation process in the San Juan de Dios clinics. "I invite all Peruvians, companies and institutions to follow the example of PETROPERU so that they continue to send their contributions until November 30, when the collection is closed," she added, after recalling that this year due to the pandemic it has not been possible to carry out the Telethon.
