Oil production from Lot I is transferred to the Talara Refinery, which continues in its start-up process for the next production of low-sulfur fuels. The natural gas is marketed to the company Enel Generación Piura S.A. for electricity generation.
As recalled, through Supreme Decree No. 030-2021, on December 27, 2021, Petroperú signed the Temporary License Contract for the Exploitation of Lot I, for a period of 22 months.
The operation of this lot marked the beginning of Petroperú's return to oil exploitation. For this, it has qualified and experienced personnel for the tasks of exploitation and development of oil fields and, it is in this line, that lots 192 and 64 will soon be developed, in the Loreto region.
