Petroperú launches modern treatment plant at the Iquitos Refinery

In accordance with its global sustainability strategy, Petroperú's Iquitos Refinery now has a modern Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (PTARI), thus becoming a benchmark in effluent treatment in the Loreto region.

Equipped with an advanced system that incorporates advanced oxidation technology through ozone injection, and the addition of a dissolved air flotation (DAF) unit, which allows - in a short time - to achieve high quality of the treated water, this brand-new plant has been designed with high mechanical resistance materials, such as stainless steel.

The PTARI, whose execution was carried out by the company Quimtia S. A., also ensures that industrial effluent continues to be discharged into the environment below the permissible limits established in the D.S. N° 037-2008-PCM, thus reaffirming the commitment of the state company to environmental sustainability and the ecosystem.

With the start-up of this high-efficiency plant, Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.
