PETROPERU joins a public cleaning campaign in Iquitos

PETROPERU, contributing to the care and protection of the residents of Iquitos in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, has implemented a series of actions seeking to prevent contamination of surfaces and maintain adequate cleaning and disinfection conditions in public spaces.

Thus, the state-owned company delivered to the Provincial Municipality of Maynas various industrial safety and personal protection products, such as 300 Tyvek protective suits, which, due to their characteristics, are used in activities such as cleaning or industrial maintenance.

In addition, hundreds of gallons of bleach, boxes of surgical gloves and KN95 type masks were distributed, which are equipped with a mesh of synthetic polymer fibers, capable of filtering particles and that are often used in the street disinfection process.

This endowment will allow the staff in charge of cleaning the district to carry out their work without running the risk of contagion, also allowing adequate disinfection work to be carried out in the main arteries and supply centers of the city.

In this way, PETROPERU continues to contribute with the actions carried out by the Executive to face the health emergency at the national level in the face of COVID-19.
