Petroperú invites schoolchildren to participate in a story and essay contest

Petroperú calls for the III Story Contest and the V Essay Contest “Building Stories”, aimed at high school students from the schools of Talara, Piura, in line with its cultural policy and the Community Relations Plan of the Environmental Impact Study of the Project Talara Refinery Modernization.

These contests seek to promote reading and writing, motivating the school population to investigate the direct relationship between the birth and growth of Talara and the beginning and development of oil activity, as well as the contribution of the Talara Refinery to the development of the country.

The students who occupy the first two places, along with their advisor teachers, will be awarded with technology items. Likewise, awards will be given to the educational institutions that occupy first place in both categories. The qualifying jury will be made up of writing specialists and professionals of Peruvian literature.

Contestants may submit more than one work to the contests, as long as they do so in separate files and with different pseudonyms. The call runs from October 16 to 20, 2023.
