Petroperú installs lighting system in Desembarcadero Pesquero
Petroperú inaugurated the lighting system of the San Pedro de Talara Artisanal Fishing Landing, in the province of the same name, which seeks to optimize the working conditions of more than a thousand people related to artisanal fishing, including fishermen, shipowners, stevedores, merchants and carriers.
It also seeks to improve security during fishing operations and in the activities of loading, unloading and unloading of fishing during the night and early morning, trying to minimize any danger or risk by making the area a safer place.
The project complements the delivery of six bars with LED (Light Emitting Diode) luminaires and their respective solar panels, located on the quay and in the scale, storage and vehicle loading areas. It should be noted that these lanterns have sensors that reduce energy consumption, thus guaranteeing greater durability.
This important contribution is made within the framework of the "Fishing with a Future" program that Petroperú has been implementing since 2019 as part of its Community Relations Plan for the New Talara Refinery, contributing to the strengthening and development of artisanal fishing in the Pariñas district, in Talara.
In recent years, Petroperú has carried out actions aimed at strengthening the development of the artisanal fishing activity, recognizing the importance of this activity for the benefit of the economy of that province in the north of the country.
