PETROPERÚ informs about the death of a worker from the contractor Demem S.A.

PETROPERÚ addresses the public opinion to inform the following:

In the morning hours of today, Friday, July 8, a crew of workers from the contractor company Demem S.A., who were carrying out general maintenance work on tank No. 376 of the Talara Refinery, reported having found their co-worker Salvio Valle Quinde (31), a native of Cajamarca, on a scaffold in circumstances that affected his physical integrity and that are the subject of investigation.

The worker was taken to a local clinic where doctors confirmed his death.

Pertinent information is being requested from the contracting company on the circumstances in which the events occurred, without prejudice to the investigations being initiated by the National Police and the corresponding Prosecutor's Office.

PETROPERÚ expresses its deep sorrow for the death of the Demem S.A. worker. and he will provide the necessary facilities to the corresponding authorities, together with the contractor company, in order to clarify what happened.
