PETROPERU implements new infrastructure in school of Amazonas
A modern classroom, equipped with one-person furniture, including ergonomic tables and chairs, adapted to the pedagogical needs of the students, was delivered by PETROPERU to the Cuzumatac native community, located in the district of Nieva, province of Condorcanqui, in the Amazon region. This is part of its Social Responsibility policy.
The classroom, located inside School No. 17088, has been manufactured with first quality materials, following guidelines for the care of the environment and respecting energy standards. This campus, which houses more than 150 students, both pre-elementary and elementary, is very close to Station 6 of the North Peruvian Pipeline - ONP.
Also, the state oil company built a modern module with two toilets, equipped with an elevated tank, thus ensuring a constant and permanent supply of water.
The presentation was made in a ceremony that coincided with the end of the school year, and had the attendance of the person in charge of the UGEL Bagua, William Bazán; the Apu of Cuzumatac, Isaac Chumpi, as well as the population in general. All agreed to show their gratitude and satisfaction for the completion of this work that will help improve the quality of education in the area. "We thank Petroperu for the work we are going to receive. Before we had never had such support," said the Apu.
On behalf of PETROPERÚ, Eng. William Bustamante reaffirmed the commitment of the state oil company to continue developing actions that optimize the training of students for the benefit of their community. In this way, the Company intensifies its work in support of education and therefore the sustained development of the communities adjacent to the North Peruvian Pipeline.
