PETROPERU implements biosecurity measures to guarantee safe operations during a health emergency

PETROPERU has implemented, in all its operations, a series of protection and prevention measures in order to guarantee the health and safety of its workers, clients and suppliers, who have been working during the health emergency to ensure fuel supplies throughout the country. country.

The minimum necessary personnel have been working in person at their headquarters, to guarantee the safe operations of all industrial processes, following the biosecurity provisions that have been implemented.

Both PETROPERU staff and contractor companies that provide basic services enter the facilities of the state company making mandatory use of the personal protection mask and after undergoing a triage performed by a medical team.

Security and Medical Services personnel permanently carry out supervisory tasks to ensure compliance with the biosafety guidelines established to counter the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus on work fronts.

Within the implemented measures, the distance of one meter is maintained between people in meetings, dining rooms, camps and in personnel transport buses. In this sense, priority has been given to virtual meetings, in which the personnel who work in person can coordinate with those who are working remotely from their homes or areas of isolation.

The face-to-face meetings are held only to discuss operational issues and with the participation of a maximum of 4 workers.

The use of elevators has been restricted and a facility cleaning and disinfection program has been implemented with material recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Likewise, the provision of liquid soap and gel alcohol is maintained in the different areas of the company for the use of personnel.

To reinforce compliance with the provisions, information of interest is provided to all workers, through different communication channels, to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the workplace and in their homes.

Sales plants and terminals

Likewise, PETROPERU personnel maintain strict control in sales plants and terminals, where customer service is also carried out following safety protocols, which include mandatory use of the respirator and hand washing with soap and water. . For security, the entrance of clients over 60 years old or with symptoms of respiratory diseases has been prohibited.

Rapid tests

In the coming days, PETROPERU will have rapid coronavirus discard tests that will be applied to personnel who have been working in person, as part of its actions to prevent the virus from spreading.

Likewise, work is being carried out on the implementation of other actions that contemplate the acquisition of equipment that contributes to the control of the entry and exit of personnel, as well as to optimize the cleaning and disinfection tasks of the company's work areas.
