In order to increase the academic level of the students of the province of Talara, PETROPERU launched the Educational Improvement Program "Escuelas de Calidad" (“Quality Schools”), which will be executed in strategic alliance with the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and the Local Education Management Unit - UGEL Talara.

The "Quality Schools" program will involve 23 Primary Education Institutions, through the training of 255 teachers in the areas of communication and mathematics, as part of the teacher's continuing education plan and the objective of increasing the development of these skills and results in these pedagogical areas in 7,057 schoolchildren.

During the launching ceremony held in the PETROPERU Club auditorium, the educational material that will be used by teachers, students and directors of the schools that will be part of this program that will last for three years, through face-to-face workshops that contribute to a didactic management of the elementary courses of mathematics and communication was presented.

The Quality Schools program considers the permanent evaluation in such a way that at the end of the program the professionals of the pedagogy can be certified by the Universidad Peruana Cayetana Heredia and, with this, continue their teaching career based on merit, according to the Law of the Magisterial Reform.
