PETROPERU holds a series of conferences towards the national Bicentennial

The national Bicentennial is approaching and therefore PETROPERU will hold a series of conferences as a prelude to the 200 years of our independence. It is about “Crossroads. Views towards the Bicentennial”, by leading researchers who will address issues such as racism, the role of women and the indigenous-society relationship, among others.

The conduction of these conferences, which seek to make academics and intellectuals visible, will fall on the renowned essayist Marcel Velázquez, current director general of Libraries and Publications of the National University of San Marcos.

The opening day will take place this Wednesday 7, starting at 6 in the afternoon, with the conference titled: “Racism: a matter of convenience or classification?”, by the prominent academic, intellectual and researcher Guillermo Nugent.

The registration of this cycle will be free of charge, aimed at a wide public, interested in issues of history, gender, press and culture.
