PETROPERÚ held work meetings with the main authorities of Moquegua

PETROPERU officials held fruitful working meetings with the authorities of the Regional Government of Moquegua and the Provincial Mayor of Ilo, with whom they reaffirmed their commitment to join forces for the development of the region and the well-being of the citizens.

On January 16, the regional governor of Moquegua, Mr. Zenón Cuevas Pare, met with the President of the Board of PETROPERU, Eng. James Atkins Lerggios; while the regional deputy governor Jorge Lamas, the regional manager, Alberto Jiménez and the manager of the Regional Special Project Pasto Grande, Luis Colana met at the headquarters of the regional government, on January 17. In the meeting also participated the deputy manager of Social Development of PETROPERU, Tomás Flores Noriega and other officials of the state oil company. Flores expressed that the work of the Company will continue throughout this year, promoting a series of meetings to strengthen cooperation between the state oil company and the regional government.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Ilo, Gerardo Carpio, visited the PETROPERU headquarters on January 18, and was received by the Chairman of the Board, Mr. James Atkins, and by the Manager of Social Management and Communications, Beatriz Alva Hart and the Deputy Manager of Social Development, Tomás Flores, with whom he discussed the progress of the New Terminal Ilo and the hiring of local staff, among other topics.

At the same time, the results of the Social Management Plan that PETROPERU executed in 2018 were presented, in which various projects have been carried out, such as the rehabilitation of Av. Lino Urquieta, the roof of the sports slab of the Mercedes Cabello school in Carbonera, health campaigns, delivery of school materials, among others.
