Petroperú has initiated a public call for proposals for a new operating partner for Lot 192.

Petroperú has initiated a public call for proposals for a new operating partner for Lot 192.

Petroperú launched today, April 15, the public call for proposals to incorporate a new operating company into the License Contract for Lot 192, the country's most important oil field, located in the province of Datem del Marañón, in the Loreto region.

The purpose of the public call is to evaluate bidders for a new strategic partner, which will be selected through this bidding process. This partner must be an oil company with experience operating fields in Peru and/or abroad and will assume the role of contractor-operator under the current contract.

Petroperú assumed the role of Corporate Guarantor, replacing Altamesa Energy Canada INC for a temporary period, while a replacement oil company is selected.

Strategic importance of Lot 192

The launch of Lot 192, which has a historic production of over 737 million barrels, will be key to the reactivation of domestic oil production and the economic development of the country's northern jungle.
