Petroperú has been deploying actions to repair seawater pipes

Petroperú reports that today, 01.19.2023, at around 5:00 a.m., there was a rupture of a pipe in the seawater line that supplies the Talara Refinery, which caused a water leak in the industrial area.

From the moment the event occurred, the corresponding Contingency Plan was activated and Petroperú's operating personnel are committed to carrying out corrective actions to mitigate internal and external impacts as soon as possible.

Petroperú appreciates the support it has received from the Captaincy of the Port of Talara to attend the event. Likewise, it has been reporting the facts to the supervisory entities.

It is worth mentioning that the water leak has not affected the population or our facilities. The causes are under investigation.
