PETROPERÚ had an outstanding participation in the Huancayo Book Fair
PETROPERÚ actively participated, this time in person, in the 12th Huancayo International Book Fair, Felizh 2022, held on the esplanade of Plaza Humanmarca, where it not only sponsored the event, but also carried out a series of activities that included the presentation of the conversation "Meeting the winners of the Copé 2021 Award", and in which the winners of the Copé 2021 Award, novel and poetry categories, participated.
The expectation was great, considering that José Luis Villanueva, Daniel Olivares and Enrique Sánchez Hernani participated. Likewise, the work “21. Relatos sobre mujeres que lucharon por la independencia del Perú”, by researchers Rocío Uchofen and José Donayre. It should be noted that Huancayo has the most persistent and successful book fair in Peru: it has been held for 12 uninterrupted years, thanks to the loyal attendance of more than one hundred thousand people who visit it every year.
In addition, it must be taken into account that this participation in Huancayo also served as a preamble to the distribution plan -for free- of Copé books, both in Junín and Huancavelica, thus seeking the implementation of the libraries of the main schools in the area, promoting and reinforcing the habit of reading among schoolchildren.
Admission to the fair was completely free, as were all its cultural activities, including the presentation of books, conferences and workshops.
All these activities, which the State company carries out year after year, are part of PETROPERÚ's cultural management work plan, as part of its cultural policy and with its commitment to promoting research and literary creation in the country, promoting to new writers and consolidating the experienced ones, thus strengthening -in one way or another- reading at the national level.
