PETROPERU gives you tour on the legendary QHAPAQ ÑAN
PETROPERU, in the framework of their company’s objective of promoting and diffusing culture in the country and through a sustained and specialised work in Cultural Management, invites the public to visit the Art Gallery of PETROPERU’s Cultural Center (located in Av. Enrique Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro) where through photos, videos and artistic works the public will be able to appreciate the symbolic and arquitectural complexity of the “QHAPAQ ÑAN” (Inca Trail).
The exhibition, titled “Qhapaq Ñan, memorias de territorios, voces y piedras” (“Qhapaq Ñan, territories, voices and stones memories”) will be open to the public on Thursday April 14th. This collection is the work of many artists and investigators: Walter Wust, Antonio Gargate, Aldo Bolaños, Rudolph Castro and Sébastien Ballade. They all point out the historic value and importance of the trail and the connexion of different cultures more than the trail itself.
It is important to mention that Qhapaq Ñan maintains its title of a World Heritage declared by UNESCO in 2014.
It is completely free to enter the exposition and will be open from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m to 8 p.m and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.
Therein, PETROPERU keeps betting on cultural promotion and diffusion and on developing social projects to respect the environment, the diversity of the culture and the fundamental rights to establish an effective practice of social responsibility in the spectrum of the government strategic institutions.
