PETROPERU gathers suppliers to report on the management of safety and community relations in the North Peruvian Pipeline

PETROPERU held an informative talk with 75 representatives of contractor companies and service providers for the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP) in Piura, in order to inform them about the security problems facing this important crude transportation infrastructure; specifically, in relation to the attacks to which it is subjected, calling on them to execute their activities aligned with the Company's procedures in such a way that synergies and benefits are generated for both parties.

Attendees, representatives of the companies that provide services in the cleaning and remediation of the ONP -like Kanay, LAMOR, SGS, CORPESA, ERM Peru and the contractors of local companies in the Amazon (VP Morona, Global Service Villacrez, Guacamayo, HS, Petro Rossy SAC, among others) - were informed of the advantages of following the guidelines related to the relationships between the communities and local suppliers.

Likewise, the social context of the ONP and the relationship guide that aims to prevent or handle eventual situations of contact and communication with indigenous inhabitants of the surrounding communities were presented; as well as the activities and projects that are carried out to develop and strengthen the relations between these communities and PETROPERU.

The contractors were also informed of the supplier registration process and the requirements that companies interested in being part of PETROPERU's Qualified Suppliers Database (BDPC) must meet, that seeks to establish a reliable, transparent and efficient purchasing chain.
