PETROPERU extends its health coverage at the 441 and 206 Kms of the Peruvian Oil Pipeline

Within the framework of the social formative of the Contingency Plan, until February 25th, PETROPERU has provided 376 preventive medical assistances to settler of the affected surrounding communities at the 441 and 206 Kms of the Peruvian Oil Pipeline, in the regios of Loreto and Amazon. It is important to point out that they are providing more tents to extend the medical assistance of the Chiriaco community located in the Amazon region.

Likewise, with previos coordination with the local authorities, the company continues on providing water and supplies to the following communities: Bancal, Copales, Dos Hermanos, Luz del Oriente, Nueva Unión, Nueva Vida, Nuevo Milagro, Paragua Nuevo, Paragua Viejo, Puerto Alegría, Puerto América, Puerto Libre, Santa Rosa, Tierra Blanca, Vista Alegre, Yamakay, Copacabana, Antena 4, Santa Rosa de Marañon.

So far, the company has provided about 32 thousand litres of water and 14 tons of food, and will continue if it is necessary. Supplies are given to every family in the presence of the leaders of each community who will later sign the corresponding affidavits.

Moreover, the company has been building three water wells in Puerto Alegría, four in Puerto América and they will build one water well in each surrounding community at the 206 Km.

PETROPERU ratifies its compromise with the preservation of the environment and is working a 24 hour shift to repair and restore the incident in a short time period.
