Petroperú expresses solidarity with journalists from Talara and reiterates call for dialogue

Petroperú addresses the public to state the following:

1. Petroperú expresses its solidarity with the journalists who were victims of verbal attacks while carrying out their reporting work at the Talara small-scale landing stage. The company categorically rejects this type of act, which violates the freedom of the press and the right of all citizens to be objectively informed.
2. The company reiterates its commitment to maintaining an open and respectful dialogue with all interest groups, including the population and its authorities. This approach is essential to address the concerns of local communities in a peaceful and constructive manner.
3. Within the framework of its Community Relations Plan, Petroperú has been fulfilling the commitments made to the communities of Talara, in response to the concerns expressed by its interest groups, arising from the event recorded on December 20 at the Talara Refinery submarine terminal. Likewise, it continues with the cleaning and environmental monitoring actions aimed at restoring environmental quality in Las Capullanas and adjacent areas, under the supervision of the competent supervisory bodies.
4. Petroperú calls on all parties involved to prioritize respect and dialogue as the only tools to resolve concerns and build solutions that benefit the community.
