PETROPERÚ detects oil outcrop at km 718 + 500 of the ONP

PETROPERU informs the public of the following:

1. Yesterday afternoon, a small outcrop of crude oil was reported on land adjacent to Km 718 + 500, Section II of the North Peruvian Pipeline, jurisdiction of the El Puente Population Center, Olmos district, Lambayeque Region.
2. As a first response action, PETROPERU immediately activated the Contingency Plan, sending personnel and equipment for the first cleaning and containment tasks. These actions are carried out considering the protocol foreseen in the face of the health emergency that is currently being faced.
3. The causes of the event are under investigation, results that will be reported in due course. PETROPERU has proceeded to inform the regulatory bodies.
