Petroperú denies that there are managers included in the investigation for cuts to the ONP
In response to journalistic allegations about the supposed participation of a manager or senior officials of the company in the prosecutorial investigation of an alleged criminal organization dedicated to committing attacks against the North Peruvian Oil Pipeline (ONP), Petroperú clarifies the following:
- Among the 18 people included in the investigation, the authorities have identified two Petroperú workers, one being an ONP area supervisor and the other community relations coordinator. Consequently, the company denies that managers or senior company officials are involved in this process.
- Petroperú reiterates its recognition of the actions that the Public Ministry has been carrying out to identify, collect evidence and file charges against those responsible for these serious criminal acts.
- The company has collaborated with the investigation since its inception and will continue to support all efforts to find and punish those responsible for these attacks that have affected the environment and harmed native communities.
- Petroperú reiterates its firm commitment to continue contributing to the development of the Amazon and the country, with a safe operation of the ONP, a National Critical Asset, which must be protected by all Peruvians.
