PETROPERU delivers school supplies to students from schools in the jungle
Continuing with its social management program "Educating for Tomorrow", which supports the learning of the population close to its operations, PETROPERÚ delivered 2,730 packages of school supplies for the benefit of primary and secondary school students located in the area of influence of the Iquitos Refinery.
The educational institutions benefited were Santo Tomás, Santa Clotilde, Picuro Yacu, El Milagro, Independencia, Astoria, Centro Arenal, Costanera, Barrio Florido, Santa Clara I, Santa Clara II, Santa Clara III and Santa María del Ojeal. Las Malvinas school, in Iquitos; the La Boca neighborhood, in Yurimaguas, and the Las Palmeras human settlement, in Pucallpa, also received school supplies.
It should be noted that PETROPERÚ carries out various social management programs that contribute to improving the educational conditions of children and young people in the towns near its facilities and that are aimed at offering quality and equal education.
Among the other social responsibility activities that are carried out on a constant basis, there are educational support tasks, capacity building and health campaigns for the benefit of the most vulnerable population of the Amazon.
