State company invested more than 240 thousand soles in improvement of public spaces located in the entrance to the city.

As part of the commitments assumed with Talara, PETROPERU concluded the recovery works of the "Cristo Rey" and "Las Palmeras" plazas, located at the entrance to the city and formally delivered the works made to the Provincial Municipality; which, from now on, will be responsible for running the maintenance of the gardens and the shelter and cleaning service in both squares, in such a way that the investment made for the benefit of the population and the care of the environment is preserved.

During the period of work, 1,470 m2 of green areas have been recovered and planted, the damaged blocks have been replaced, planters have been improved and painted, the children's games received maintenance, along with the change of the main earthenware in the Plazuela Cristo Rey, the placement of a metal roof structure and the placement of Andean tiles in the central parts of both plazas, among other actions that have improved the ornate.

This work was executed as part of the "Support to Local Development" program of the Community Relations Plan (PRC) of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT) of PETROPERU, with an investment of S/ 240,137.80 soles. Previously, and always within the framework of this program, Avenue G has been paved and avenues A, B, F and the industrial avenue of Talara Alta have been refurbished. Likewise, a new and better location is being built for the Federico Villarreal School.

This way, the state company fulfills its commitment to recover the public spaces of this area of the province and to work in conjunction with the local authority to raise awareness about the care of the environment, the improvement of the quality of life and the decoration of the city for the benefit of the population.
