PETROPERU delivers food to communities near the Iquitos refinery
The families of the 13 rural communities located near the Iquitos Refinery will receive packages with basic necessities, thanks to the social work carried out by PETROPERU in the sphere of influence of its operations, especially in these times when the country is in emergency sanitary.
The support of the state company, carried out in coordination with the local authority, consists in the delivery of 765 packages of non-perishable food for the same number of vulnerable families, which have been going through difficult times due to the obligatory social isolation to counteract the advance of COVID -19.
The delivery of food has been carried out in strict control and compliance with the sanitary measures established for this emergency, starting from the preparation of the packages to the movement of the products and their distribution to the leaders of the beneficiary communities, who are also He provided them with gloves and masks so that they can make the corresponding distribution in their communities.
The communities benefited are Santa Clotilde, El Milagro, Independencia, Picuro Yacu, Astoria, Costanera, Centro Arenal, Barrio Florido, Santa Clara Zones I, II and III, Santa María del Ojeal, located on the banks of the Amazon River and Santo Tomás in the Nanay River.
